In A Nutshell
Spiritual direction is a relational process through which one person, helps another person understand what God is doing and saying.
Spiritual Direction occurs when a trained Christian spiritual director prayerfully companions with you, helping you deepen your spiritual attentiveness to God’s presence in your life; in prayer, reading God’s word, and in your daily walk with Jesus Christ.
Spiritual Direction is a ministry which offers focused intentional listening and conversation, inviting you to direct your attention to God.
“A spiritual director is a companion to the one who is journeying deeper into a relationship with God and learning to listen more attentively to the voice of Jesus in daily life.” – Alice Fryling, The Art of Spiritual Listening
You’ll Discover God At Work
It is our prayer that Spiritual Direction be a Holy Spirit led and empowered time that will most importantly lead you to greater discernment of God’s presence and providential care for your life.
It’s our belief that the Holy Spirit will guide our conversations, helping you make sense of your faith journey. In processing your walk with the Lord, you will grow in your ability to hear God and to recognize his presence in your life.

Why Prep Work Is Important
Preparing your heart and mind prior to your appointment enables you to know what you would like to bring to our sessions.
Some possible questions you may want to explore are:
- How is God working in your ordinary, everyday routines and life circumstances?
- Where is God in your life right now?
- How is he revealing himself?
- What is the state of your soul?
Topics such as relationship struggles or issues you are wrestling with could be brought to a session or arise in our time together.
These are just a few examples of where our focused conversation may go.
